SERVICE GUARANTEE AND WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY POLICY

This Service Guarantee and Workmanship Warranty Policy (“Policy”) sets out the warranty coverage and service guarantees provided by Brighter Homes Maintenance and Renovations Pty Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to its clients. The Australian Consumer Law governs this Policy (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) and relevant laws of Victoria.

1. WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY
(a) The Company warrants that all works carried out will be performed with due care and skill, and in accordance with accepted industry standards.
(b) A workmanship warranty of 12 months applies to all completed works, commencing from the date of practical completion.
(c) This warranty covers defects in workmanship directly attributable to the services performed by the Company.

2. EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not apply to defects, damage, or deterioration arising from:
(a) Normal wear and tear.
(b) Misuse, abuse, neglect, or lack of proper maintenance by the Client or third parties.
(c) Alterations, repairs, or works performed by parties other than the Company after completion.
(d) Pre-existing structural defects, hidden conditions, or issues not caused by the Company.
(e) Environmental factors including weather, natural disasters, or other external causes beyond the Company’s control.

3. WARRANTY CLAIMS PROCEDURE
(a) All warranty claims must be submitted in writing to the Company via email at Brighterhomes.mr@gmail.com within the warranty period.
(b) The Client must provide reasonable details of the issue, including job reference, description of the defect, and photographs if applicable.
(c) The Company will assess the claim within a reasonable time and may arrange a site inspection if necessary.

(d) If a valid warranty claim is established, the Company will, at its discretion, repair, replace, or rectify the defective workmanship at no additional cost to the Client.

4. CONSUMER GUARANTEES
This warranty is provided in addition to the rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the law.

5. GOVERNING LAW
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of Victoria.

By engaging the Company’s services, the Client acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Service Guarantee and Workmanship Warranty Policy.
