Our story

We started this because we couldn’t find it anywhere else.

How it began

“Watching them was enough to make us fall asleep on the spot.”

We came across scratch therapy the way a lot of people do — scrolling through TikTok late at night and landing on videos of back scratching. Watching them was enough to make us fall asleep on the spot. It turns out that kind of slow, rhythmic touch can trigger a tingling sensation across the scalp and skin, the same response ASMR is known for, and helps calm the nervous system by easing the body out of fight-or-flight and into deep rest.

That was enough to make us genuinely curious about what scratch therapy really was. We started practising on our own family and friends, learning what worked and what didn’t — and that curiosity is how Scratch Therapy came to be.

  2. Then, curiosity

That slow, rhythmic touch can trigger a tingling sensation across the scalp and skin. We wanted to understand what scratch therapy really was.

  3. Practice

  4. Now

The emblem

Two hands, slow and unhurried

The Scratch Therapy emblem shows the heart of every session: two hands gently scratching through the hair, framed by an arch, sprigs of leaves and small sparkles.
